FU Aurigae is a carbon star located in the Auriga constellation

FU Aurigae is the red star in the center of the image. It is a pulsating red carbon star and is listed in SIMBAD as being of the spectral type C-N6. At magnitude 8.31, FU Aurigae is rather faint and viewing it requires a telescope.
